KANJI GUIDE
A leaf. 言葉, the word for language, is literally leaves of speech.
A feather, and a wing. The character is two of them side by side.
The sky, and heaven with it. 天国 is paradise; 天気 is the weather.
The sky, and also empty. Buddhism uses the same character for emptiness — 空, śūnyatā.
崇拝 is worship; 崇高 is sublime — something so far above you that admiration is the only honest response.
