The character in 御伽噺, the old word for a fairy tale.

Clear and cheerful, of a voice or a person. 明朗 is bright and open; 朗読 is reading aloud.

Half of 瑠璃, the deep blue stone. On its own it is used mostly for its sound and its colour.
