It means both this and correct.
Not 木, which is wood. 樹 is a tree that is alive and standing.
A wish to grow freely, with deep roots.
A picture. 絵画 is painting; 絵本 is a picture book.
Half of 瑠璃, the deep blue stone. On its own it is used mostly for its sound and its colour.
