Flat, and by extension calm. 平和 is peace; 平気 is being unbothered by something.
Half of 瑠璃, the deep blue stone. On its own it is used mostly for its sound and its colour.
The camphor tree. Big, long-lived, and often the sacred tree standing at a shrine.
A younger brother, and anyone junior to you. In 弟子 it means a disciple.
Long life, and the celebration of it. The character on wedding envelopes and New Year food.
