Clear and cheerful, of a voice or a person. 明朗 is bright and open; 朗読 is reading aloud.
Both kana for this sound — な and ナ — were made from 奈. And Japan has written foreign names with it for centuries: 加奈陀 is Canada. Yours is in good company.
Half of 瑠璃, the deep blue stone. On its own it is used mostly for its sound and its colour.
